Is a student required to say the pledge of allegiance? Yes, unless a written request from a student's parent or guardian has been submitted. See TEC 25.082(c).
Are school administrators required to make children recite the Pledge of Allegiance of the United States and the pledge to the state flag of Texas? Yes, the board of trustees and the governing board shall require students to recite the pledges. See TEC 25.082(b) 1&2.
Is there a designated time for a Christian student to pray to God everyday in the classroom? Yes, each school day at each campus, immediately following the pledges, there is 60 seconds (of silence) dedicated to prayer. See TEC 25.082(d).
